Written by ACT PAO
Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (SACT), France Air Force General Jean-Paul Paloméros, attended the graduation ceremony of the Senior Course 122 at the NATO Defense College (NDC), in Rome, Italy, July 19th.
A number of ambassadors, military attachés, and military and civilian leaders also participated in the ceremony that was attended by 77 course members from 30 different countries, together with their families and the college’s senior leadership and staff.
During his address, General Paloméros highlighted the significance of the course members’ achievement in completing so intensive and demanding a syllabus. The five-month long course offered students the opportunity to engage in discussions on a variety of emerging challenges to the international community in general, and to the Alliance in particular.
Course members also had the opportunity to attend numerous field study trips, as a unique means of engaging in fruitful and challenging discussions with key policy-makers in their own countries.
The course had participants from 17 NATO member nations, seven Partnership for Peace (PfP) nations, three from the Mediterranean Dialogue-program, one from the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative, as well as two others, referred to as Global Partners.
