Lieutenant General Joseph Anderson meets Georgian military
ISAF IJC Commander Lieutenant General Joseph Anderson visited Kandahar Air Base in Afghanistan. The US General invited the military servicemen of Special Mountain Battalion of GAF to have dinner with him and thanked them for their contribution to the ISAF mission. After the dinner he presented five Georgian servicemen with memorable gifts.
Together with the U.S. General “South Regional Command” Michel Bills also met the Georgian military unit deployed at Kandahar Air Base.
The Special Mountain Battalion of GAF is in the phase of ending the ISAF mission. The Battalion personnel is responsible for fulfilling full-spectra security operations. Special Mountain Battalion will come back home in several weeks.
