Social media giants have long hid behind a law shielding them from litigation to censor content they did not like. President Donald Trump’s executive order just reminded them that laws can also be used as a sword.

Trump's executive order can be reversed by his successor when he leaves office, therefore, Congress should pass a law against censorship. But it won't because politicians accept generous campaign contributions from big tech.

After garnering 8.3 millions of views on its platform, Google’s Ministry of Censorship removed Michael Moore and Jeff Gibbs controversial documentary film Planet of Humans from the YouTube.  The filmmakers are calling the ban a “blatant act of censorship.”
Spokespersons from YouTube are claiming the cancellation of the film was due to an alleged copyright claim over a four second clip contained in the film.

YouTube, Vimeo, and other Big Tech companies are no longer operating as private business. They are working closely with government agencies to orchestrate a systematic censorship of videos that express views not approved by those agencies.
