In Germany, Obama and Merkel set new standards of hypocrisy

The last few days were marked by a new high in hypocrisy. The prize goes to Barack Obama, who literally got the Prize of the German Media (Medienpreise in German) in Baden-Baden, southwestern Germany. Obama, under whose wise stewardship the world has seen the appearance of at least four new conflict zones with direct US involvement (Libya, Syria, Ukraine and Yemen) could be expected to show some modesty. After all, the people of Libya and Donbass might not have a very high opinion of his Nobel Peace Prize from 2010.

America’s traditional allies rush to Donald Trump’s defence in the wake of the latest leaks

Israeli leaders have spoken out about revelations that the Washington Post’s story based on leaks from a conversation that US President Donald Trump had with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov may have compromised an Israeli mole embedded with ISIS.
Israel’s Defence Minister, the well known hardliner Avigdor Lieberman Tweeted the following,

The Washington Post has endangered the life of an Israeli agent embedded with ISIS. Donald Trump has not

States who are publicly opposed to ISIS, often share intelligence on highly confidential matters. It happens between Britain and France, America and Germany, Russia and Syria, China and Russia.
The fact that no one in America has officially declared Russia an enemy state and that Donald Trump has very publicly stated that he would like Russia to be a partner in the fight against ISIS, means that Donald Trump was acting as any leader would do in sharing information with a partner or possible partner.
