On November 18, President-elect Donald Trump named Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions as his attorney general. Sessions will be one of the most conservative U.S. lawmakers to to serve as the nation’s top law enforcement official. He is also staunchly opposed to marijuana legalization – ridiculously so. [1]
Sessions is a bit goofy and old-fashioned when it comes to his views on cannabis, to say the very least.

Monday we learned exactly who. House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy scheduled a debate on Charlie Dent's Dangerous Synthetic Drug Control Act (H.R. 3537) for Monday. It puts 22 synthetic compounds-- including 11 used to create synthetic marijuana (K2 or Spice)-- on Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act (CSA), forcing mandatory minimum sentences on violators.
But she also proved she doesn't get the underlying problem with drug abuse.
A simple analysis of the headlines reveals just how little the DEA has done to achieve its goals.
(ANTIMEDIA) Much like in the United States, Canada has seen a spike in the rates of opiate use among its populace.
Over a four-month period early this year, 256 Canadians died after overdosing on fentanyl, the same substance tied to “bad batches” of heroin that have been killing Americans.
