As expected, Qatar has refused the demands set out in a 13 point Saudi drafted ultimatum designed to essentially bully Qatar into the resumption of normal albeit politically dependant relations with the states which have boycotted Qatar.

Saudi Arabia has passed an ultimatum to neutral Gulf Cooperation Council member state Kuwait to be handed to the Qatari regime in an attempt to end the current crisis wherein Saudi Arabia has led a total boycott of Qatar along with the UAE, Egypt Bahrain, Libya’s House of Representatives, Yemen’s Hadi government and the Republic of Maldives.

An armed force run by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has kidnapped hundreds of men in Yemen, according to relatives and local human rights activists, fueling concerns about the United States’ choice of partners in its war against Islamic extremism.
TURKEY: new accusations against UAE for financing anti-Erdogan coup
Sources in Turkey have named the United Arab Emirates as one of the main culprits behind the failed coup attempt against the regime of Recep Tayyip Erdogan which was launched in the summer of 2016.
Turkey initially blamed the exiled political Islamist and cleric Fethullah Gülen who was an erstwhile ally of Erdogan’s before the two fell out. Turkey now considers Fethullah Gülen’s movement a terrorist sect which is proscribed in Turkey.
