Most of us on Planet Earth are living through a never-before-attempted experiment in dealing with a crisis. The lockdowns of cities, states and entire nations, intended to slow the spread of a particularly nasty virus have been undertaken by governments of all types, not just authoritarian regimes like China. But what has the effect been?
Well, according to this report by Tucker Carlson, there is increasing evidence that the answer to this question is precisely none at all.
There are three governors who have been judged so dangerously incompetent that none can be singled out as the worst pandemic governor in America and all three share the spot: Kristi Noem of South Dakota, Ron DeSantis of Florida and Brian Kemp of Georgia. Because all have opposed sane social distancing policies, thousands of their states' citizens have been infected. California now has 865 confirmed COVID-19 cases per one million in the population.
If a picture is worth a thousand words, what is a six-minute video worth? A lot. Left-wing grievance politics and racism is proving to be not just stupid. It is proving to be truly fatal. Just ask anyone with a bit of sanity who is living in the plague-stricken Manhattan today. Watching the coronavirus numbers soar there from day to day is evocative of Stephen King’s The Stand. Thank God that Life is not fully imitating that great – and frightening – piece of Art.

Christopher Ingraham wrote up a Gallup polling report for the Washington Post that shows "the Trump era has ushered in the largest happiness gap between white and nonwhite Americans in nearly two decades. More than 90 percent of white Americans," wrote Ingraham, "say they are 'very' or 'fairly' happy these days, a number that has held steady since the early 2000s.
No one’s going to argue that the heads of Iran’s Quds Force, Qassem Soleimani, was a bad man. At one time he and Trump were in business together, laundering money through a Trump Tower in Baku, Azerbaijan. The CIA made then-candidate Trump end that shady business. But even without the Trump connection, Soleimani was still a bad guy-- a real bad guy.
