Reports of side effects caused by cosmetics and personal care products sold in the U.S. more than doubled in 2016, and that’s partly due to complaints about WEN by Chaz Dean Cleansing conditioners, according to recent study. [1]

Hopefully, before you head to the beach, you’ve already looked for some safe sunscreens for your body. But if you’re not reading labels, and if you don’t understand what the ingredients on those labels are, studies show the product you’re lathering on your skin could actually pose a grave threat to the ocean environment. These sunscreens are especially not safe for coral reefs.

Researchers at Consumer Reports have a warning for us, though: nearly half of sunscreen products in the U.S. fail to live up to the SPF claim on their bottles.

Jessica Alba’s Honest Company is being sued by a customer who claims the company is not so honest after all.
The fuss is over Honest’s reportedly ineffective sunscreen. The customer claims the company is making false claims in its marketing and labeling to sell the lotion. [1]
