Why Did The DCCC Fail So Spectacularly On Tuesday? Let's Ask 3 Really Smart Philosophic Types: AOC, Eric Zuesse And Anand Giridharadas

Today's most-talked about NY Times piece, at least in my universe, is Astead Herndon's post-election interview with AOC. Short version-- AOC: "People really want the Democratic Party to fight for them." If only Pelosi and Hoyer would tattoo that on their foreheads so they saw it whenever they checked the mirror!

27 Million Americans Have Already Voted-- But 5% Of Us Haven't Decided If We Want Trump To Have 4 More Years To Wreck The Country Entirely

Wrapped In His Flag... by Nancy Ohanian Writing for CounterPunch on Friday, Zen Economics author Rob Urie asked the straight-forward question Who Elected Donald Trump? Greasing the Bench

-by Skip Kaltenheuser John Grisham, meister of legal thrillers, must look at the Dark Money flying about Supreme Court nominees and think, “You stinking thieves, give me my book plots back!” In a logical world, in a sane US Senate resistant to corruption, Senators would give the bum's rush to nominees to the Supreme Court who are being promoted with millions, tens of millions, in dark money.

Max Rose Sounds Like An Asshole And Picks Fights With Progressive Women Because He Thinks That's What His Constituents Want In A Congressman

One of my childhood homes was on East 17th Street between Avenues O and P in Brooklyn. Manny Cellar was the powerful congressman from that district from 1923, long before I was born, to 1973, long after I had moved away. The district has been redrawn many time since then and it is divided between the current 8th (Hakeem Jeffries), 9th (Yvette Clarke) and 11th (Max Rose) districts. About 2 blocks from my old house, Yvette Clarke's district ends and Max Rose's begins-- the corner of East 15th Street and Avenue P.

Does Trump Want Us All To Die? Why Else Would Have He Put Pence In Charge Of The Coronavirus Pandemic?

Trump wants to prove he was right all along by banning travel into the U.S. from Mexico (to prevent coronavirus). As I was writing this the U.S.-- the world's example of how not to deal with a pandemic-- has 72 confirmed cases (probably closer to 72,000) while Mexico has 4 confirmed cases.
