LAVROV: ‘NO WAR IN VENEZUELA’

Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister was speaking with his Bolivian counterpart when the issue of Venezuela arose. Bolivia is one of Venezuela’s closest regional allies along with Cuba.
Sergey Lavrov responded to threats made by Donald Trump against Caracas when the US President threatened the use of military action against the oil rich South American country. Venezuela has called Trump’s threats “crazy” and a threat to the sovereignty of the country.

CONFIRMED: South Korea FM to visit Russia’s Lavrov next week

In a further sign that tensions on the South Korean peninsula are de-escalating, the South Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha is set to visit his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Moscow on the 25th of August.
The South Korean Embassy in Russia issued a statement reading,

“Yes, she (the Foreign Minister) will travel to Russia on August 25, there will be talks with Lavrov. They will touch upon all issues in which both sides are interested”.

Russian FM Sergey Lavrov and Chinese FM Wang Yi condemn war on Korea as “inadmissible”

MOSCOW,  (Sputnik) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi discussed in a telephone conversation the situation around North Korea and confirmed the inadmissibility of threats to use force, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement Tuesday.
“The sides discussed ways out of the confrontational spiral on the Korean Peninsula, reaffirming the inadmissibility of military adventurism and threats to use force, no matter where they come from. Attempts to solve regional problems by force are unacceptable,” the statement said.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has met with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu in Manila where President Rodrigo Duterte is hosting the ASEAN summit. The summit’s importance has been deeply enhanced due to the importance of discussions between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on the Korean issue. Rex Tillerson, the US Secretary of State has also been in Manila and has appeared to endorse the joint statement from the Russian and Chinese Foreign Ministers.

LAVROV: Trump and Putin may have gone “to the toilet together” (VIDEO)

During his recent interview with NBC, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov responded sarcastically to questions about how many times Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin may have met during the G20 saying that perhaps they went to the toilet together.
He then compared the situation to kids in a kindergarten talking to one another before guided activities commence.

LAVROV: US bases in Syria have “NO LEGAL BASIS”

The US mainstream media has been going into Russophobic overdrive ever since it was announced that Donald Trump has ordered the CIA to stop funding Salafist terrorists in Syria, a program that was a flagship policy of Barack Obama.
