Brockton High School committee members called on the National Guard to help with student violence. A woman testified at a school meeting and said, "the students are afraid of no one. The parents are afraid of them. The school staff is afraid of the students and the students are afraid of no one!

A fist fight led to the stabbing death of a 15-year old and a 14-year old juvenile suspect has been taken into custody and has been charged with murder. A parent whose daughter is a freshman called for metal detectors because he said that children have guns and knives at the school.

Baltimore has a policy of suspending students with violent and aggressive behavior from school and from the bus. The number of student arrests in Baltimore City Schools has plummeted 98% in 2022, but whistleblowers reported that authorities are trying to keep the numbers down for political reasons.

Three masked teens jumped on a school bus and targeted a 14-year-old boy. One of the masked teens pointed a gun at the boy and pulled the trigger three times, but it failed to fire. When the gun didn’t fire after three tries, the attackers physically beat the 14-year-old boy.

A group of students were fighting in the hallway when an administrator attempted to intervene. Students then reportedly formed a mob around the assistant principal and brutally beat her. The injuries were so severe, the victim was left unable to talk and was rushed to the hospital.

Suspensions were made illegal in California after supporters claimed that disciplinary action targeted students of color.

A record 220,300 public school teachers reported that they were physically attacked by a student during the 2015-2016 school year. California passed Senate Bill 419, prohibiting the suspension of disruptive kids. [Be sure to check out the readers' comments for these articles.]
