It’s official: the mainstream intelligensia have lost the plot, and yes, it’s definitely Trump’s fault. With each passing day, it’s becoming more obvious that truth is not the only casualty here, so is irony.
This past week the never ending political drama which is Russiagate appeared to have reached somewhat of a climax, with sentencing recommendations being submitted for General Michael Flynn and Paul Manafort, and the melodramatic plea bargaining saga of Trump’s shady turncoat lawyer Michael Cohen. In all cases, there has been no evidence of the elusive ‘Trump-Russia Collusion’ narrative which the mainstream media have been obsessively parroting for the last 24 months straight.
In November, the hacktivist group Anonymous revealed a cache of documents which detailed the inner workings and command structure of a Britain-led disinformation and smear campaign known as the Integrity Initiative, a clandestine operation targeting Russia and anyone in the west who is sympathetic or wants good relations with Russia.

The Guardian is at it again. This time, resorting to the old gag of inserting the obligatory propaganda caveat “sources say” to its original report.
In the report, co-authored by the paper’s Luke Harding and Dan Collyns, it was claimed that ex-Trump campaign executive Paul Manafort met with Wikileaks’ Julian Assange several times including “around the time” he joined the Trump campaign.
