Police Demoralization

Howard Lichtman says that rejecting enforcement of victimless crimes unites the police with the people against the politicians. He says police can regain respect by focusing on the five main transgressions that create victims: murder, rape, assault, theft and trespass, instead of fighting victimless crimes.

Larynzo Johnson, 26, was arrested and charged with two counts of assault on a police officer and 14 counts of wanton endangerment for allegedly shooting two cops during a Black Lives Matter riot.

An apartment security guard, who was wearing a vest with the word “officer” printed on both the back and the front, was attacked with a machete by a 32-year old woman who screamed insults at him and asked if he was a police officer.

Rochester Police Chief La'Ron Singletary announced he is retiring following riots and fires. His deputy and the city's entire command staff either left or gave up their current positions. "Protesters" are demanding Mayor Warren's resignation.
