NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — The judge in U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez’s corruption trial could rule on Monday to dismiss the bulk of the indictment against the New Jersey Democrat, a decision that prosecutors say could “broadly legalize pay-to-play politics.”
After hearing six weeks of testimony and viewing dozens of emails and documents that prosecutors allege show Menendez schemed to help a wealthy friend in exchange for free plane rides and luxury hotel stays, jurors may never get to deliberate those points.

Though Hillary Clinton has blamed numerous factors and people for her loss to Donald Trump in last year’s election, no one has received as much blame as the Russian government. In an effort to avoid blaming the candidate herself by turning the election results into a national scandal, accusations of Kremlin-directed meddling soon surfaced.

(ANTIMEDIA) Early Tuesday afternoon, interim chair of the DNC, Donna Brazile, issued a statement indicating the Democratic Party was bracing for a new batch of email leaks to be released. About an hour later, Wikileaks delivered, tweeting a link to a 670 MB file, along with instructions for downloading.
