WATCH: WASHINGTON COP SHOOTS UNARMED MAN, NO CHARGES

Antonio Davis, 25, was shot by cops in Spokane, Washington on September 18, 2017. Davis was unarmed.
Newly released body camera footage of the shooting was made available on Wednesday.
Officers Tucker Seitz and Chris McMurtrey were in a vehicle pursuit with Davis. Davis refused to stop because he had felony warrants.
Davis eventually wrecked his vehicle and took off on foot along with his passenger.

It is becoming an all too common occurrence for officers to stop and detain citizens for recording police or law enforcement activity of any kind. But the aforementioned video recording is a First Amendment protected activity, so anyone has the right to do so.

Seattle Police Erasing Thousands of Dash Cam Videos, Massively Breaching Public Records Law

Washington state law requires all known videos by police to be kept for 90 days, but Seattle Police capture dash video from all patrol cruisers and automatically dump it 3-5 days later.
Seattle activist Tim Clemans requested video from the fail-safe dash cam video recording system implemented by private contractor COBAN.
His request was denied.

“HE’S AIMING HIS GUN!” rang out across the street corner as a group of eight protesters neared the man holding his camera in a white plastic cover.
Last night, Portland Police detained the 36-year-old blogger Michael Strickland known as “Laughing at Liberals” after the video blogger pulled his Glock 18 handgun with extended clip out of his pocket, and aimed it at two dozen protesters “scanning the horizontal plane” with the weapon.

Oregon protesters occupying the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge have been arrested after a firefight which left Oregon militiaman Lavoy Finicum dead.
Sources within the Oath Keepers organization claim that Finicum was surrendering peaceably to law enforcement when he was shot and killed, but there is no independent confirmation or video evidence of the ultimate showdown at this time.
