Trump Stuck Between Ending Endless Wars and his Hawkish Megadonors

By Eli Clifton | Responsible Statecraft | December 4, 2019 President Donald Trump has repeatedly promised to withdraw the United States from its ongoing wars in the Middle East, and avoid the kind of military adventurism, like the Iraq war, that has destabilized the region. Trump’s track record, however, is largely detached from his promises […]

Istanbul’s ‘Syrian Government in Exile’, Now Demanding Military Action in Idlib

Since  the beginning of the US-led regime change effort against Syria began in 2011, the West and its Gulf state financiers have tried to prop-up a “Syrian Interim Government” in the desperate hope that this western creation could somehow be parachuted into the country after the real government in Damascus was decapitated by the western and Gulf-backed conclave of radical jihadist terrorist militants who formed what the western media and political operatives commonly referred to as the “rebel opposition” in Syria.

Turkey and Israel: Enemies or Allies?

After Israel was created in 1948, Turkey became its most important partner in the Middle East. Ankara recognized the Jewish state as far back as 1949, establishing official diplomatic relations with it, which clearly illustrated the direction of Turkey’s foreign policy. The first two Israeli prime ministers, David Ben-Gurion and Moshe Sharett, spoke Turkish.

Japan to send helicopter-carrying destroyer & spy planes to ensure ‘safe passage’ of oil from increasingly crowded Middle East

RT | December 27, 2019 Japan’s cabinet has approved a plan to send its warship and surveillance planes to the Middle East, framing the controversial mission as “study and research activities” totally separate from the US initiative to contain Iran. Tokyo is expected to send a destroyer with 200 crew and carrying up to two […]

Pro War "Left" and Usrael's Kurds in Syria

And yes there is a pro war "left" out there.. they are the writers who gloss over the FACT that Syria's being chopped up and push the idea that north eastern Syria belongs to some group of alleged 'egalitarian' democratic persons... Who stand for nothing but peace, love and understanding making all this death and destruction 'a good thing'.  They are the sites/authors that advance the cause of "greater Kurdistan" or write about Rojova as if it exists, while never asking if it actually does? Or should? Or, what was the cost for it's creation? Who really desired this creation?

Impeachment Is a Distraction: Heavily Scripted Vote Demonstrates That Democracy Really Is Dead

By Philip Giraldi | Strategic Culture Foundation | December 26, 2019 Watching the impeachment “vote” was hard work. With only a few exceptions, each Congressman rose for roughly 90 seconds and provided a prearranged, almost completely scripted-along-party-lines explanation of how he or she was casting one’s ballot. After four grueling hours of hearing self-serving lies […]

Japan is Becoming More Active in Greater Middle East

We have pointed out on more than on occasion in the New Eastern Outlook that one of the most distinctive features of the current stage of the Big Game of Politics has been the gradual return of both losers of World War II to it, i.e. Japan and Germany. And it is important to highlight that they are re-entering the game as members of the elite club comprising leading players.

US Drone Attack Against Syrian Oil Facilities in Homs- Reminiscent of Saudi Aramaco Strikes

First read about this strike on Sunday... but couldn’t find anything else to discern if it had actually occurred or if we’re being spoon fed some more war time propaganda. Then additional reports surfaced and yes it seems that an attack did take place. Undertaken via drones launched from Al Tanf, the US occupation/terror base in Syria. The drone attack preceded the Israeli strikes on Syria by one day. Coordination?
