In what may be the biggest shock from today’s European parliamentary elections, President Emmanuel Macron suffered a major blow with French voters set to hand a victory to Marine Le Pen’s National Rally, picking the vocal Eurosceptic and nationalist over the former Rothschild banker.

A significant plurality of French voters (43%) who cast their ballots for Emmanuel Macron Sunday told pollsters that had done so primarily to stop Le Pen-- more of the ole "lesser of two evils" vision of politics, generally espoused by the Democratic Party to such ill-effect.

This weekend French voters will chose between a drab establishment centrist, Emmanuel Macron (their version of Hillary, only with less accomplishments) and neo-fascist leader Marine Le Pen, politically the French Trump, although probably not as ignorant as the New York version. So Obama endorsed Macron (video above).Needless to say, Trump (and Putin) have both let it be known that they prefer Le Pen.
