Trump jeopardizes global diplomacy

Much has been said about US President Donald Trump leaving the Iran deal: that this is in blatant disregard of basic rules of the international law on treaties and that this is the behavior of the bully, profoundly disrespectful towards the other partners in the treaty – France, Great-Britain, Russia, China and Germany.
And last, but not least, that this comes down to a declaration of war against Iran.
In many ways this is indeed a historical setback.
The consequences of Trump’s decision will be felt for decades to come.

Mainstream media on the Middle East – neither objective nor neutral

The court case against 17-year old Ahed Tamimi, the Palestinian girl that slapped an Israeli soldier in the face on December 15, 2017, is expected to start on Tuesday, February 13.
Maybe. The judge of the military tribunal has postponed the case so many times ‘for further inquiry’ that another delay is very likely.
One might wonder what further inquiry is needed when everything the girl did was videotaped and has since gone viral, sparking worldwide outrage.
December 15 was not the first time Ahed Tamimi confronted the Israeli occupation forces.

US Embassy Relocation to Jerusalem a “War Crime”

Most days the only evidence of activity is outside on the pavement: A queue of Israelis snake out of a side door, clutching their documents and watched over by Israeli soldiers as they wait expectantly for a US travel visa.

Dear on-the-fence-about-the-Occupation, two-state-solution Israeli,
Please stop posting warm fuzzy photos and articles that show moments of kindness between Israelis and “Arabs”. Please, do not post that Belgian postage stamp showing the beginning of a bad joke, a priest a rabbi and an imam. Please stop pontificating about Arab/Muslim extremism being the root of the Arab-Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
