Stranger Pays for Teacher’s Supplies, Social Media Reunites Them

Seventh-grade grade teacher Sabrina Drude was brought to tears when a total stranger paid for her teaching supplies.
The pair were introduced in line at a local Wal-Mart. Noticing Drude was buying an excessive amount of school supplies, the benevolent stranger, named Lester Brown, struck up a conversation with the young teacher.

The Internet Sent 161 of Her Favorite Shirt to Girl with Autism

Deborah Skouson called to her Facebook friends to help her out after a minor emergency. Her daughter, Cami, who has autism, is fixated on one particular shirt – a pink short-sleeved cotton tee with flower designs all over it. Cami had recently worn out the top, and it had been discontinued. Skouson asked her friends online if they could help track down an exact replica of the shirt, and in kind, she was sent 161 shirts. It’s safe to say that Cami won’t be wearing them out any time soon. [1]

105-Year-Old Woman Surprised with Sexy Firefighters for Her Birthday

Ivena Smailes may have just turned 105, but that hasn’t stopped her from having a lively spirit. The birthday girl told friends that she had one wish for her birthday: for a “burly, tattooed firefighter” to hand deliver her birthday cake. And boy, did she get her wish! [1]
Smailes, who lives in Crawcrook in the northeast of England, was delivered her cake by a fireman from the Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service. He even climbed up to to the third floor of Addison Court Care Home in Wesley Grove where she has resided for the past 3 years.

Couple Cooks Up a Feast for Louisiana Flood Victims

Although the recent flooding in Louisiana has tragically taken somewhat of backseat to the Olympics in national headlines, more light has been shone on this event when one couple took it upon themselves to serve up a huge barbecue for flood victims and those in need.
The flooding in the state has damaged over 40,000 homes and has taken at least 13 lives. But Christian and Amanda Dornhorst hoped to be a light in the lives of those living in a temporary homeless shelter by serving them up a feast. [1]

Bride Walks Down the Aisle with the Man who got her Dad’s Heart

Ten years ago, Jeni Stepien’s father was shot and killed in a robbery when she was just 23. A few short weeks ago, the man who received Michael Stepien’s donated heart walked Jeni down the aisle on her wedding day. It was early August when Stepien, 33, tearfully held Arthur Thomas’ wrist and chest, quietly nodding as he asked her, “Can you feel it?” [1]
Michael Stepien couldn’t physically be there to walk his little girl down the aisle on her wedding there, but his heart was with her, beating strong inside Thomas’ chest.

Acupuncture for Pain Competes with Morphine in Shock New Study

Acupuncture has been recognized by the World Health Organization since 1996 as a safe and effective treatment for a range of complaints, including pain and discomfort. Unfortunately, its use in a hospital setting, where patients usually must take whatever treatment they can get, is still very rare. But an amazing new study in the American Journal of Emergency Medicine will hopefully change more attitudes towards the practice.
