Researchers in China claim they have successfully added mutations to human embryos which make them HIV-proof.

Monsanto tried to buy-out one of its biggest competitors on the biotech scene with a $46 billion bid – it was for Syngenta. Then Monsanto tried to acquire Bayer Crop Sciences. But after the company’s recent dismal stock earnings report, the CEO says that big deals are out.

Before you pop open a bottle of California Merlot, there is something you should know: trace amounts of glyphosate, the primary toxic chemical found in Monsanto’s Roundup herbicide, have been found in 100% of California wines tested by the national GMO awareness group, Moms Against Monsanto.
The news comes on the heels of a report finding 14 brands of beers tested positive for the likely carcinogen in Germany.

In a recent interview, the CEO of Monsanto, Hugh Grant, claims that Monsanto’s best-selling herbicide Roundup is not carcinogenic. This claim goes against numerous evaluations of Roundup and its ingredients concluding that glyphosate – a primary ingredient in Roundup – is indeed carcinogenic.

New reports reveal that ‘philanthropic’ organizations like the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, as well as similar entities with over $360 billion in combined assets, are edging themselves into Africa’s food market by genetic engineering of African cultural food staples.

The Telangana government is complaining to an Indian State High Court that companies like Monsanto, along with Indian associates such as Mahyco Monsanto Biotech, are exploiting farmers in the South India state.

Monsanto’s Kenya Ltd., a subsidiary of the larger company, is trying to push another genetically modified Bt cotton strain into Africa. Representatives have submitted an application to release GM cotton seed known as MON 15985, or Bollgard II. [1]

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is facing a lawsuit filed by nearly a dozen fishing and environmental groups that are trying to block the agency’s recent approval of genetically modified salmon.

Marianne Williamson – writer, activist, and minister – is still awaiting a reply to her 2014 open letter to presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Williamson’s letter puts some very germane questions to the woman who has been called the Bride of Frankenfood.

First General Mills announced its plans to label GMOs, and now 2 more Big Food companies are following the company’s lead. Both Kellogg’s and Mars will now label many of their products with the words, “produced with genetic engineering” if they contain GMO ingredients, starting in mid-April.
