Russian President, Vladimir Putin has led a strong stance against biotech and their cultivation of GM crops in his country. Now, the Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Arkady Dvorkovich, has announced at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum that Russia WILL NOT use GM crops to boost agricultural production.
Dvorkovich stated that the good quality of the soil across Russia’s land will allow the country to use other technological advances in agriculture, but GMOs won’t be one of them.

Lamb that was part of a medical experiment has been sold in Paris. This alone is nothing to worry about – except that the lamb was genetically modified with jellyfish fluorescent genes, and it is illegal to sell GM food in France.

Congressman Mike Pompeo (R-KS) just reintroduced another ridiculous bill, the so-called “Safe and Accurate Food Labeling Act” (H.R. 1599). If it passes, it will mean states can no longer pass GMO labeling bills. It would also prohibit states or counties from banning or regulating GMOs in any way.

In a major environmental paper draft leaked a few days ago, Pope Francis brings attention to genetically modified organisms and the pesticides used to grow them, calling them both environmentally and socially ‘significant’ problems.

In the same way Big Food makers tried to rename sugar in their products so that consumers wouldn’t know that their favorite brands contained almost 75 percent empty calories, the mainstream media is trying to re-brand GMOs so that the public thinks the food creations are completely safe.
That’s right. Just like Hilary Clinton advised biotech at a recent symposium, she thinks if customers just ‘thought of GMOs differently’ we would like them more.
