A recent revelation, albeit quietly by choice, has been trickling under the popular western-dominated news radar.

On August 5, President Trump’s national security advisor H.R. McMaster said the United States is preparing to attack North Korea.

Rex Tillerson, President Trump’s secretary of state, has threatened regime change in Venezuela. The former Exxon CEO’s remark coincides with the arrest of Leopoldo López and Antonio Ledezma, two Venezuelan opposition leaders who were under house arrest and subsequently sent to prison by the government of Nicolás Maduro. Trump said he would hold Maduro “personally responsible” for the safety of López and Ledezma.

“Laws are no longer made by a rational process of public discussion; they are made by a process of blackmail and intimidation, and they are executed in the same manner. The typical lawmaker of today is a man wholly devoid of principle — a mere counter in a grotesque and knavish game. If the right pressure could be applied to him, he would be cheerfully in favor of polygamy, astrology or cannibalism. It is the aim of the Bill of Rights, if it has any remaining aim at all, to curb such prehensile gentry.

After six years of war and destruction, there is a widespread consensus in the alternative media that the Syrian debacle is a war on Syria rather, or at least more so, than a civil war between Syrians. Without the foreign support coming from NATO, Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Israel from the beginning of the crisis onwards in the form of finances, weapons supply, covert operations, favourable propaganda and the permission of jihadi border-crossing into the ravaged country, the armed opposition could never have conquered and maintained so much Syrian territory.

On July 19 the establishment media reported Trump has decided to put an end to the CIA’s covert support for jihadists in Syria attempting to oust President Bashar al-Assad. The program was reportedly put into place by the Obama administration in 2013.

When the assistant U.S. secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs Victoria Nuland resigned her position on January 20, 2017, all those who wanted to see the return to a more stable political order in Europe and the decline of Russophobia or Kremlinoia (as I call it) breathed a sigh of relief. She was perceived by many as the main political instigator of the whole series of the covert efforts to remove and replace top European government officials who did not uncritically accept the principles of Anglo-American geopolitics.
