Even with votes still being counted and the country under a ‘state of emergency’, Emmanuel Macron is France’s newest President.
At 39, Macron is the nations youngest President and faces huge challenges to heal a fractured and deeply divided country.
Only time will now tell if the pro European, ex Rothschild and self proclaimed ‘independent centrist’ will succeed in addressing France’s most critical issues at hand.

Le Monde, journal oblique, daté du samedi 29 avril 2017, s’en prend à Jean-François Jalkh et à ma personne           en première page, sous le titre « Le FN rattrapé par son passé » ;          en page 6, sous le titre « Jean-François Jalkh renonce à la présidence du FN » ;          en page 23, dans son éditorial, intitulé « Les liaisons dangereuses de Mme Le Pen ».C’est dans cet éditorial qu’après avoir noté qu’en 2000, M. Jalkh déclarait « impossible d’un point de vue technique » que le gaz Zyklon B eût été « utilisé dans des exterminations de masse.

Marine Le Pen has temporarily resigned from her role as leader of her party, Front National.
Le Pen described her move in the following way,

“I have always considered that the president is the president of all the French. Under this banner, he or she must unite all the French.
Tonight, I am no longer the president of the Front National. I am the presidential candidate.
I will be above partisan considerations”.

French Election Pits Far-Right Firebrand Against Investment Banker In Historic Runoff

France will see the far-right, xenophobic Front National candidate Marine Le Pen face off against Emmanuel Macron, an investment banker who hasn’t held public office, in a runoff vote on May 7, as the first round of an unusual presidential election concluded with Sunday’s vote.
Students immediately took to the streets in protest against Le Pen’s success in the first round, the Associated Press reported Sunday.
