DOJ releases DAMNING report on FBI handling of Hillary Clinton e-mail investigation

The Associated Press on Thursday, June 14th, announced early in the morning that the Justice Department released its long-awaited report. Compiled by Inspector General David Horowitz, the 568 page report details the investigation into the practices of the Federal Bureau of Investigation under Director James Comey in regard to the matter of Hillary Clinton’s e-mail server and her compromise of classified information through the use of a non-secure server.

FBI Agents Didn’t Think Reality Winner Was A Spy, Yet She Is Being Prosecuted Like One

An FBI agent who entered former NSA contractor Reality Winner’s house to execute a search warrant did not think she was a “big bad mastermind prolific spy.” And yet, the government is prosecuting Winner under the Espionage Act, as if she is some kind of spy.
Winner is accused of “removing classified material from a government facility and mailing it to a news outlet.” She allegedly mailed a classified document on Russian hacking to the Intercept and is in pretrial detention awaiting a trial that is currently scheduled for March.

FBI Can Neither Confirm Nor Deny Trump Tower Wiretap

In response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request filed by Shadowproof, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said it “can neither confirm nor deny the existence of records” regarding a wiretap of Trump Tower.
The FBI sent its response via email earlier this afternoon, hours before news broke that the United States government wiretapped President Trump’s former campaign chairman, Paul Manafort.

Immigrants Lawsuit Shines Light On FBI’s Shadowy Customs Practice

A federal judge advanced a lawsuit Thursday by a man facing deportation after refusing to inform for the FBI on America’s Iranian community.
Manouchehr Jafardzadeh has been lawfully residing in the United States since 1979 and applied for change of status to lawful permanent resident in January 2010.
Jafardzadeh’s daughter, a a U.S. citizen, filed a parallel request, but customs officials made no determination on either application until December 2016.

Judge Intervenes After FBI Stonewalls Documentary Film Maker

WASHINGTON – A federal judge hastened completion of a documentary decades in the making about the FBI’s role in the Vietnam anti-war movement Thursday by ordering the agency to churn out nearly 3,000 pages of documents a month.
According to an internal policy, the FBI was only releasing requested records in chunks of 500 at a time to Nina Gilden Seavey, a filmmaker and professor at George Washington University’s School of Media and Public Affairs.
