"Occupy Wall Street and the very idea of the “one percent” emerged just after the financial crisis plunged much of the world into recession, and US and British banks were handed billion-dollar bailouts to steady the ship.

A recent study argued, with evidence, that what bothers people more than inequality per se is “unfairness.” Those of us who think genuinely competitive markets are key to human betterment can use this information to address concerns about inequality.
