PPP released new polling this morning. A majority of Americans wish Obama was still president. And where last week, everyone was stunned that 35% of the country were already hoping Trump would be impeached, in just 7 days, that number has already increased to 40%! Only 43% of Americans are glad Trump is president. (The polling didn't ask about it but evidence is that Trump's strongest support comes from the counties with the heaviest prescription drug abuse and opioid addiction.

Trump gave us a glimpse of his idea of infrastructure yesterday when he signed executive orders to re-start the approval process for the Keystone XL Pipeline, for the Dakota pipeline, to rush through environmental reviews and to reduce regulations. Trump touted the Keystone XL as a job creator, although he didn't mention that it will create only 35 or so permanent jobs. This is no way to get a serious infrastructure initiative off the ground.

Heading into the elections in November, the Democrats held 8 of the 35 seats in the South Dakota state Senate. On November 8, they held 6 seats (and none of the 6 had been contested by the GOP). And of the 70 members of the state House, only 10 are Democrats. Every statewide elected official is a Republican and the 3 members of South Dakota's congressional delegation are also Republicans. Trump beat Hillary 227,721 (61.5%) to 117,458 (31.7%). In 2012 Romney won the state, but Obama did far better than Clinton, having taken 144,988 votes (40%).

Myopic modern day liberalism never scared the imperialists. And why should it? The corporate state and statism are the enemies.
