Trump became the first sitting American president to ever step foot in North Korea, and while Carlson was there covering (and maybe even advising) the President, missing from the historic diplomatic moment was uber war hawk, national security adviser John Bolton.
Bolton was dispatched to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

US President Trump and North Korean leader Kim posed for handshakes before talking for nearly an hour in the demilitarized zone. Both leaders agreed to set up teams to resume stalled nuclear talks.

Erdogan accepts Syria DMZ off-ramp, in deal with Putin (Video)

The deal struck in Sochi averts a large scale Syria’s offensive on Idlib, as Turkey gives it guarantee to monitor what will effectively become a demilitarized zone.
According to the agreement, troops from Russia and Turkey will enforce a new demilitarized zone (DMZ) in Idlib, from which ISIS/Al Qaeda rebels will be required to withdraw by the middle of next month.

South Korea’s Moon appoints security advisors

South Korea has been keeping its military on high alert since the North began to increase the frequency of its ballistic missile tests and threaten the region [Xinhua]
Newly elected South Korean President Moon Jae-in is set to overhaul Seoul’s foreign policy with particular emphasis on easing tensions with the North.
On Wednesday, Moon appointed prominent university professors Lee Sang-Chul and Kim Ki-jung to the top security advisory positions to help him formulate new policies.
