Joe Biden and Senator Kamala Harris celebrated the news that President Donald Trump will allow General Services Administrator Emily Murphy, who received death threats, to begin the initial steps for a transition of power to Biden. Trump has not conceded.

Social media users directed vitriol not only at the president’s demeanor in the photo, but also the families of victims for daring to pose with him.

The weekend of January 18-20 was a watershed moment in American history. In only about 24-30 hours, we watched two stories unfold that were treated with an insane level of angst by the news media: The “leak” that Donald Trump told fixer and attorney Michael Cohen to lie to Congress about something, and the Covington High School students’ altercation with “minority” groups that went viral in social media.

U.S. Rep. Al Green, D-Houston, Saturday revealed several racist and threatening voicemails — some saying the black congressman should be lynched — in reaction to Green’s recent call to impeach President Donald Trump.
Green played two of the messages at a Saturday town hall in Houston, per a video on his Facebook page. In each voicemail, the caller referred to him as the n-word and called for his hanging.
