A few days ago, defeated conservaDem, Claire McCaskill, was on Chris Hayes' show trying to wish upon a star that she could take back her vote confirming Alex Acosta after the Senate examined his qualifications. There isn't much new information that's come out since McCaskill and 5 other Democrats decided he should be the country's Secretary of Labor.
A couple of years ago, when The Blade asked Mayor Pete about the experience of being openly gay in a state where Pence was governor, Buttigieg called Pence a "super-nice guy," immediately adding that he pursues "divisive and backward-looking policies...
If Fox keeps it up, AOC is going to be president when she turns 35I mentioned earlier that not all the freshmen are like AOC. A number of people seemed offended and asked me what I meant. I was thinking about independence, smarts, solidarity, relatability, dedication... that kind of thing, which holds up well against... well, careerism.

Note:• The Senate is currently divided 51-49 in favor of the Republicans, so the Democrats (and the two independents who caucus with them) are down two already.• The column labeled "Change 1" shows a best-case result for Democrats.
Missouri used to be a swing state. It used to be called a bellwether, in fact. But that was a long time ago. The state went for FDR all 4 times he ran and then followed by voting for Harry Truman, Dwight Eisenhower, Adlai Stevenson, JFK. LBJ. Nixon twice, Jimmy Carter, Reagan twice and... somewhere in those Regan years, they started swinging towards the dark side for real. Now they're a red state.
