Civil Rights Groups Push for Release of DHS ‘Race Paper’ on Surveillance of Black Activists

The Department of Homeland Security has refused to release any version of a report that the agency’s Intelligence and Analysis Office produced and referred to as the “Race Paper.”
In response, the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) and Color of Change, one of the United States’ largest racial justice organizations, filed a motion to force DHS to disclose the document.

US court rejects lawsuit challenging NYPD’s spying on Muslims

A federal court in the United States has rejected a civil rights lawsuit challenging the New York Police Department’s spying activities against Muslims.
On Thursday, the court in Newark in the state of New Jersey ruled that the plaintiffs had failed to show that the NYPD’s intelligence unit had discriminated against Muslims by spying on mosques and other locations in New Jersey.
