One of the moist rotten of the DCCC's many rotten moves this cycle was endorsing the least competent "serious" candidate--"serious" implying in this case only one thing: loaded with cash-- anywhere in the country. Gil Cisneros wouldn't be a good candidate for dog-catcher; just ask Lulu (above). He won $266 million in a lottery and was able to quit his gig as a potato chip taster for Frito-Lay's and become... a slumlord.

BARSTOW, CALIFORNIA — A California community is drawing increasing attention to the police killing of Diante “Butchie” Yarber, a 26-year-old black father of three who was shot to death as he sat inside his car in the parking lot of a Barstow Walmart on April 5.
In dramatic video filmed of the incident, which occurred in broad daylight, police can be heard rapidly spraying dozens of rounds  – well over 30 – at the car Yarber was driving, killing the young father and wounding his friends. No firearms were found inside the vehicle.

Thursday, A Progressive California, an independent PAC, aired its first television ad in support of Kevin de León for U.S. Senate. I watched it being played between segments on Chris Hayes' show and thought it was really great. Take a look above.With the help of their new coalition partners at the California Nurses Association and National Nurses United, the new TV ad, titled "Act Like Democrats," is airing all across Los Angeles on MSNBC and CNN.

CisnerosCA-39, primarily in northeast Orange County, is viewed as a prime target for Democrats, The longtime incumbent, Ed Royce knew he wouldn’t win and announced his retirement. Although the PVI is “even,” Hillary beat Trump in the district 51.5% to 42.9%%.

CA-50 is one of the last conservative Republican districts in California. Obama lost it both times-- badly-- and Trump beat Hillary 54.6% to 39.6%. The PVI is R+11. Duncan Hunter, Sr and Duncan Hunter, Jr-- two very crooked, self-entitled Republican assholes have held the district for 38 conservative years. Political education is very low and many people don't realize that Hunter I has been replaced by Hunter II.

CA-10 is Jeff Denham's Central Valley district that should have been won by the Democrats by now. It's a white minority district (46%) that stretches from Tracy, Manteca, Ripon and Riverbank in the north down through Modesto and Patterson to Turlock. Obama won it both times and in 2016 Hillary beat Trump 48.5% to 45.5%. The PVI went from R1 to EVEN.
