US Supreme Court Sides with Catholic Nuns in Obamacare Contraceptive Mandate

Trump’s broad rollback of Obamacare rules that required employers to provide free birth control to women. But employers are no longer forced to participate in providing cost-free contraceptives to employees. Congressman Jerry Nadler said the regulations upheld by the Court can be reversed by a new President.

New York’s Cardinal Timothy Dolan notes that Democrats have abandoned Roman Catholics

Timothy Dolan is the Roman Catholic Archbishop (and Cardinal) who oversees the Roman Church in New York City. He has served there in this post since 2009, and his total time of official service to the Roman Catholic Church goes all the back at least as far as the time of his ordination to the priesthood in 1976. In his time of service he has seen many changes in the United States, both in terms of its social and religious attitudes and the stance of its political parties.

CDC Issues 2 Major Zika Advisories for Men and Women

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) issued new warnings recently aimed at both men and women for avoiding transmission of the Zika virus. [1]
On September 30 the CDC said, among other things, that pregnant women should consider postponing travel to 11 Southeast Asian countries where Zika is spreading, and shored up its warnings for men who are considering having children.

Health Experts will Meet This Week to Discuss the Dangers of ‘Essure’ Contraceptive Device

Federal health experts are taking another look at Essure, a permanent birth control device for woman that is associated with numerous serious side effects.
The Food and Drug Administration will be asked to consider further clinical studies on Essure, and will be asked to make changes to the device’s warning label.
