The illegal 1999 NATO war on Yugoslavia caused two parallel crises and is the proximate cause of a third. Most tragically, it caused the displacement of thousands of Serbians from their native Serbian province of Kosovo and Metohija to other parts of Serbia. Many still live without permanent homes.
At the same time, although the Serbia province of Kosovo and Metohija became fully occupied by ethnic Albanians with the help of NATO forces and EU political enforcers, many decided to take up permanent residency in neighbouring countries including in Macedonia.
In the UK you can start a petition on the Government website. If it reaches 10,000 signatures you get a response from the Government. If it tops 100,000 it will be considered for debate in Parliament.
For Palestinians, 2017 is a year of significant anniversaries.
While historians mark May 15th as the anniversary of the date on which Palestinians were expelled from their historic homeland in 1948, the fact is the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians began in earnest in 1947.
In strict historical terms 1947 and ‘48 were the years in which Palestine was conquered and depopulated.

The 24th of March, 2017, is the 18th anniversary of the worst war crime in Europe since the death of Hitler. NATO, not sufficiently happy that much of Yugoslavia had all ready been broken apart, decided to drill the final nail in the coffin by bombing Serbia.
Hospitals, orphanages, churches, television channels, countless other civilian targets including homes as well as the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade were destroyed. Thousands of Serbian families were made refugees and some still do not have proper homes, even in 2017.
