7 non-aggression pacts and treaties signed by European countries with Nazi Germany

The inter-war period of Europe was not one of burgeoning democracies formed from the ashes of the First World War, but rather, central and Europe were countries that were overwhelmingly far-right dictatorship.
These are just some examples:
HUNGARY: In the interwar years, Hungary was ruled by an ultra-reactionary government most prominently by Prime Minister Gyula Gömbös.
LATVIA: Latvian dictator Kārlis Ulmanis ruled with an iron far-right fist throughout the interwar years.

DONETSK: Alexander Zakharchenko declares new state of Malorossiya

In 1667, the Treaty of Andrusovo affirmed Russian sovereignty over historic Russian lands that had been part of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth since the 14th century. These areas were de-facto Russian ever since the Treaty of Pereyaslav, signed in 1654 as an alliance between local Cossacks and the government in Moscow.
The restoration of Russian lands was affirmed in the 1686 Treaty of Perpetual Peace.

PUTIN: Sanctions will make US “relations more difficult”

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that the anti-Russian sanctions recently passed by the US Senate will put a further strain on already difficult bilateral US-Russian relations.
This has come as for the first time since 2014, major EU countries have spoken vocally against American attempts to pass further sanctions on Russia. This is not due to some sudden shift in ideology but due to the fact that the sanctions would impact European companies working with Russia, including on the important Nord Strem 2 gas pipeline.

CONFIRMED: US allies oppose new Russian sanctions

The Foreign Ministry of Germany and the Chancellor of Austria have released a joint statement condemning new anti-Russian sanctions which were recently passed by the US Senate by a majority of 98 to 2. Only Rand Paul on the libertarian right of the Republican party and Bernie Sanders on the vocalist left of the Democratic party voted against the measures. Interestingly, both men were candidates in the primaries of the 2016 US Presidential election.
