I need to say again, as a Jew and refugee from Nazi Germany  I am ashamed of Israel, a country I once hoped to love.  Zionism  has succeeded  to activate the rise of anti-Semitism, a result in my view of a grisly, brutal agenda of ethnic cleansing, , apartheid and human rights crimes against Palestinians.

I wrote a brief reply to Yves Engler’s “Toronto’s Racist, Militarist Pro-Israeli Movement” on Dissident Voice.
I don’t know if he read it, but if he did, he didn’t agree with it. His latest article continues to fudge the issue of Jewish supremacy, by amalgamating it with ‘white privilege’.

 Can we assume that Zionism and Israel are good for the Jews? The answer is no, we cannot. Zionism failed the Jews by insisting on an Israel for one group alone. That insistence has inevitably led to racism, discrimination and ethnic cleansing. These are not practices that have characterized modern Jewry and so it is simply wrong to equate Zionism with Judaism and insist that Israel stands in for the world’s Jews.

Especially Jewish progressive men in office.EMILY's List was once an essential part of the progressive coalition.
