A new study by researchers at Harvard University shows that the water supplies of nearly 6 million Americans are tainted with unsafe levels of polyfluoroalkyl and perfluoroalkyl substances, or PFASs – a class of industrial chemicals linked to potentially serious health problems. [1]
PFASs have been used for decades in a wide variety of industrial and commercial products, including non-stick coatings on pans, food wrappers, water-repellent clothing, and firefighting foam.

Alabama Police Officer Shoots Teen Holding Cell Phone

An Alabama police officer shot a teenager dead after he stepped out of a car holding a cell phone Monday.
Mobile police said Michael Moore had a gun in his waistband, which is why the officer shot him four times.
Witnesses said the cop kept shooting after Moore had fallen to the ground, standing over his body while firing his gun, telling him, “don’t move, turn over.”
The cop then turned the teen’s body over and handcuffed it.
The cop, who has not been identified, did not have his body camera on because he was not yet on the clock, police said.

Fearing a terrorist plot, an Alabama police officer snatched a camera from a man who was video recording a police station from across the street, turning the man’s camera off to keep it from recording.
However, the man had a back-up body camera that was live streaming.
“I don’t care about your First Amendment rights,” said the Wetumpka police officer, who has been identified as Charles Shannon.
“I don’t know if you’re a terrorist or not, trying to film our building.”
