Israeli Attack on Damascus, Killing 2, Injuring 9, But Misses Its Target

Once again, Israel breaks international law and baits a new regional shooting war by striking at a civilian neighborhood in Syria’s capital of Damascus.
The IDF apparently launched a set of medium-range missiles in an attempt to kill a Palestinian national it believed was staying in the location which was being targeted.

SYRIA: Several ISIS Terrorists Killed by SAA Near Historic Palmyra

BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:45 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) carried out retaliatory attacks against the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) forces in the Badiya Al-Sham region of Homs Wednesday, eliminating several terrorists and enemy vehicles near the ancient city of Palmyra (var. Tadmur).
According to a military source near the scene of the attack, a Syrian Army scout spotted a group of Islamic State terrorists moving through the desert region east of Palmyra this morning.

SYRIA: Heavy Infighting Breaks Out Between Turkish-backed Terrorists in Afrin

BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:35 P.M.) – Heavy clashes broke out between two Turkish-backed militant factions in the Afrin region of Aleppo on Tuesday, local activists reported this afternoon.
According to the reports, one militant faction from Deir Ezzor and another from the East Ghouta began clashing in Afrin for unknown reasons.
This latest infighting has resulted in the death of one militant and a few injuries among the Turkish-backed factions.

Syrian Army Steps-Up With Assault on Terrorist Enclave in Idlib, Final Offensive Nears


BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:10 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has stepped up their attacks in the Idlib Governorate this week after the alleged expiration of the nearly two-week-long ceasefire.
Led by the 5th Corps and Republican Guard, the Syrian military launched several missile strikes on the militant positions in Idlib, targeting their defenses in a number of towns in the southern and western parts of the governorate.

Lavrov: Syrian Army’s Liberation of Khan Sheikhoun Doesn’t Violate Any Agreement

A military operation of Syrian troops in the town of Khan Sheikhoun does not violate any agreement, including agreements between Russia and Turkey on the formation of the de-escalation zone in Idlib, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Monday.

Damascus Rejects US-Turkish ‘Safe Zone’ in Northern Syria

BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:30 P.M.) – The Syrian government announced on Thursday that they have categorically rejected the recent U.S.-Turkish safe zone agreement that is to be implemented in northern Syria.
According to the Syrian Foreign Ministry’s statement, the new safe zone constitutes a flagrant violation of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
