We don’t want to talk about the media and media representatives here, but what scientists in particular expect from it when they spread such wild horror forecasts is really a mystery to us. But no matter what your intentions, such scare tactics are not helpful! Especially not if it has no factual basis.
We do not assume that the virologist quoted above has any bad intentions! On the contrary, we assume that she has a firm belief in what she says and that she is convinced that she is doing the right thing. We therefore distance ourselves from all the wild abuse and accusations that are being showered on you and other scientists who support government measures or who call for even tougher measures. What we sharply criticize this virologist and many other scientists for is that they behave dubiously and irresponsibly with such statements! Spreading fear and panic never makes sense! People who are even remotely related to medicine should know best.
What kind of mutations should there be in SARS-CoV-2?
Claims that the notorious SARS-CoV-2 is supposed to have mutated further have been haunted by the media since December 2020.
The best-known alleged mutants, which are said to have emerged from SARS-CoV-2 and with which fear in the population is again unrestrained, are:

In order to be able to carry out the alignment, which is roughly comparable to a puzzle, you need templates in the form of old genetic material strands. With SARS-CoV-2, two old corona models were used for this.Because, in the process of alignment, large parts of the constructed genetic strand are basically invented and other parts are “bent” by the appropriate computer programs so that a reasonably credible result arises, the finished construct never looks 100% like the template in the end. If you examine DNA fragments that were obtained from humans or animals and incorrectly represented the basis of the hypothetical genetic strand of SARS-CoV-2, and you discover that the DNA has changed, the idea arises that SARS-CoV -2 would be mutated.
