To this day, I still cannot figure out why the US government has not suspended and/or outright scrapped the Lougheed Martin F35 "fighter plane" program... The facts have been coming out that clearly show that this plane is an unmitigated disaster and would be suicide for any fighter pilot to actually fly into combat.....As a prime example of the F35's massive failings, I have been reading more and more reports about the horrific software failings for this POS's onboard computers recently.... The software in the onboard computer of this plane is so faulty that it would crash while a pilot is going into combat and therefore make his plane a sitting duck for any adversary and easily blown out of the sky as a result... But lo and behold, according to the following link from Sputnik News website, at www.sputniknews.com, apparently in spite of the increasing evidence that catastrophic failure could occur for this aircraft's onboard computer if it ever entered combat, the US Marine Corps is now ready to accept the F35's software for their aircraft! This is a travesty and again shows that this program is a massive boondoggle and should be scrapped immediately..... But apparently the Marines do not have anything else to replace their aging and antiquated Harrier jump jets, and they are now stuck with the F35!And I came across another most interesting article that again comes courtesy of Sputnik News that just came out a few days ago, where US aviation expert and well known critic of the F35 program, comes out in an interview and states that the F35 is so abysmal that it would have even been easily defeated back in World War II! And the entire program will indeed amount to at least 1.5 TRILLION dollars once all planned 2000+ aircraft are manufactured... But again, any pilot flying this thing into combat will find himself as a sitting duck and basically committing suicide....The facts are that the $400 BILLION dollars already spent on this program could have done so much elsewhere in America, and would have gone a long way to fixing America's ailing infrastructure and health care systems....
