Walgreens is piloting a new line of “smart coolers”, which are refrigerators with cameras that scan shoppers’ faces and then identify them by gender, age, and even income to predict their choices.

A new ‘scorecard’ report gives a failing grade to 17 out of 20 major food retailers in the United States, based on their policies and practices regarding pollinator protection, organic options, and pesticide reduction. [1]

You may know Walgreens as a place to get your prescriptions and toiletry items, but the pharmacy chain has since launched a major initiative to help millions of Americans gain access to resources to aid mental health. With funding constantly being cut and insurance costs rising, many are without the resources to treat serious psychological issues, so Walgreens is stepping in to try and fill that void.

For the millions who shop for store-brand herbal supplements at mega retailers like Walmart, you’re in for a big surprise. An investigation by the New York State attorney general’s office into store-brand supplements has found that many herbal supplements not not only contain arguably no herbs, but also don’t contain the main ingredient/herb advertised.
