Texas Wants Its Execution Drugs Back, And It’s Suing The FDA To Get Them

(REPORT) — Texas on Tuesday sued the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for what it says is an “unreasonable delay” in deciding whether to allow the delivery of execution drugs from India. The lawsuit comes more than 17 months after the FDA seized 1,000 vials of sodium thiopental at a Houston airport.
Prominent Group of Pediatricians Warn: Codeine is not Safe for Children
A leading group of pediatricians said in a statement published September 19 that codeine is not safe for children and should not be used to relieve pain or coughs. [1]
The guidance nearly mirrors a January 2016 Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warning that codeine should not be given to children and most teens.
