Right now, Blue America has a mobile billboard riding up and down the highways of two adjacent California congressional districts, CA-22 and CA-16, both centered in the Fresno area. Those are Devin Nunes' and Jim Costa's districts, the first a corrupt reactionary Republican and the second a corrupt reactionary Blue Dog Democrat.

McConnell may look like a turtle but he's a lot smarter than one-- albeit, smart in the service of Evil. He realizes that reform is his-- and his party's-- implacable enemy. He is very aware, painfully so, that when more people vote, more Republicans lose. H.R.

On Thursday McConnell finally allowed a clean bill to open the government to be voted on, but first he presented Trump's frankenstein version of a bill that included nearly $6 billion for a small piece of his vanity wall, a vanity wall that will make many of his criminal cronies much wealthier. The only Democrat to vote for the Trump/McConnell bill was, predictably, Joe Manchin.

Next stop Moscow?This morning's little incident with Roger Stone has to serve as a warning that all of this year is going to be a rocky ride in Congress, the media and in our lives. Early this morning, in Florida, there came a knocking on Roger's door. Apparently Bob Mueller took quite literally, Get Me Roger Stone.

Does it surprise you that Americans are overwhelmingly pessimistic about Trump's illegitimate presidency? Only 29% of Americans think Trump's "presidency" will be successful in the long term.

Pew's new poll released yesterday, was devastating enough before yesterday's smoking gun: Trump Begins Third Year With Low Job Approval and Doubts About His Honesty. 37% approval and 59% disapproval.

The GOP has long had a habit of putting it's most extreme members on the House Judiciary Committee-- crackpots like Matt Gaetz (FL), Louie Gohmert (TX), Andy Biggs (AZ), Ken Buck (CO), Jim Jordan (OH), Darrell Issa (CA) and, as you probably know by now, Steve King. Monday evening, the Republican Policy and Steering Committee voted unanimously to kick King off all his committees.

Ted Lieu invited all the House Dems to a special session of the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee, of which he was recently elected co-chair. Tomorrow's session is to go over the art of social media, particularly twitter-- and how members can use it effectively in their jobs.

I thought both Pelosi and Schumer made decent responses to Trump's failed, low-energy Oval Office speech, you remember, the one last night where he  unsuccessfully made a half-assed attempt to rally Americans to his vanity wall. Bernie's response-- the video above-- was clearer and better. He also used the word "lie," something Chuck and Nancy were too delicate to do.

I don't read the American Conservative much, but Rand Paul pointed out a nonpartisan article by George O'Neill worth looking at last week, $100 Billion in Weapons to the Saudis Buys a World Full of Hurt.
