Regardless of how the trade talks finally conclude, with a deal or a complete breakdown between the two parties, one thing is certain, the final outcome will have massive, global consequences on an economic and political scale.

There are a lot of farmers losing a lot because of Trump's pig-headed, badly-handled trade wars. Including, presumably, a lot of sleep. Family farms are particularly badly hit and farmers have been losing their land; many more are on the verge of bankruptcy. Soybean farmers have been hit worse than anyone else. There are 11 states that each produce over 100 million bushels of soybeans annually-- Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Indiana, Nebraska, Ohio, Missouri, South Dakota, Arkansas, North Dakota and Kansas.

Every thing Trump is doing to America, from his $enate-approved appointees to his destructive policies which they devilishly implement is obviously designed to hurt as many Americans as possible.

As of May 10, Mr. Trump has arbitrarily increased tariffs on Chinese goods imported into the US, worth about 200 billion dollars, from 10% to 25%. It is an action without any foundation. An action that makes no sense at all, as China can and will retaliate – and retaliate much stronger than what the impact of the US’s new “sanctions” may bear – because these arbitrary tariffs are nothing else but sanctions.

In an unusual move, the Chinese delegation has come clean to the domestic press about Beijing’s remaining trade-deal related demands, exposing steep divides that could make it a final deal impossible for Trump, who has repeatedly said he will only accept a “great” deal.

Yesterday's comments by Trumpanzee, he wrote, "veered between hope that a deal was still possible and enthusiasm for what he called a U.S. 'alternative,' amounting to a period of tit-for-tat trade levies.

After the talks reached an impasse, US President Donald Trump said that he would raise tariffs on $200 billion of imports from China from 10% to 25%. The increase will take effect on Friday, according to a special filing announced on Wednesday in the US government’s Federal Register.
