U.S. drifting into military confrontation with China (Video)

Chinese state media announced that President Xi Jinping has ordered the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) to “enhance their combat readiness,” as an increased US military presence in Taiwan and the South China Sea is ratcheting up tensions between the two trade partners to dangerous levels.
Xi Jinping further stated that the China would not reject the use of force if necessary to invade and capture Taiwan, which it considers a breakaway province.

The Chinese Defense Ministry has protested the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for 2019 which was signed into law in the US by President Donald Trump earlier this week.

The $717 billion act includes several sections on China, some of which violate the One-China policy, a ministry spokesperson said.

China warns of retaliation if US invades Taiwan

China is putting its foot down over American meddling in its affairs, and is warning of a military response to the stationing of US military forces at a covert embassy in Taiwan. China consider Taiwan to be Chinese, and hence, no embassy could legitimately exist there. For this reason, if the US positions military on Chinese soil without permission from the Chinese government, the Chinese government is declaring that it will view this as an invasion, and respond accordingly.
