Today's most-talked about NY Times piece, at least in my universe, is Astead Herndon's post-election interview with AOC. Short version-- AOC: "People really want the Democratic Party to fight for them." If only Pelosi and Hoyer would tattoo that on their foreheads so they saw it whenever they checked the mirror!

One of my childhood homes was on East 17th Street between Avenues O and P in Brooklyn. Manny Cellar was the powerful congressman from that district from 1923, long before I was born, to 1973, long after I had moved away. The district has been redrawn many time since then and it is divided between the current 8th (Hakeem Jeffries), 9th (Yvette Clarke) and 11th (Max Rose) districts. About 2 blocks from my old house, Yvette Clarke's district ends and Max Rose's begins-- the corner of East 15th Street and Avenue P.
The two big national polls released early Sunday morning-- Ipsos' for Reuters and Hart Research's for NBC and the Wall Street Journal-- were conducted after the debate and after God struck Trump and his inner circle down with COVID-19. Overall, they don't differ much.
Staten Island comedian Pete Davidson seems to have got the NYC sex guidelines for the pandemic wrong on Saturday Night Live this past weekend. He was right about "sex but no kissing" and wrong about what he called "heiny smoocheroos," which was widely interpreted as an OK for rimming.
Trump wants to prove he was right all along by banning travel into the U.S. from Mexico (to prevent coronavirus). As I was writing this the U.S.-- the world's example of how not to deal with a pandemic-- has 72 confirmed cases (probably closer to 72,000) while Mexico has 4 confirmed cases.
Biden brags about his illusory accomplishments nearly as much as Amy Klobuchar brags about hers. (Most of what Biden says is patently false or exaggerated beyond credibility.
