A couple of weeks ago an ad hoc group-- Save My Care- ran a powerful ad against vulnerable Nevada Republican Senator Dean Heller, who is up for reelection in 2018 and is the most likely GOP senator to lose his seat. Heller thanked his lucky stars that he didn't have to go on the record one way or the other in regard to Ryan's botched and failed TrumpCare bill which never made it onto the floor of the House, let alone to the Senate. The 30-second spot (above) ran and certainly had its impact.

When he first ran we described his opponent, Sylvester Reyes as a moderate, garden variety Democrat-- except in matters of war-- where he was, in effect, really a Republican. Reyes' campaign, oddly, tried to paint the progressive O'Rourke as a Republican. He claimed that O'Rourke wanted to "change" Social Security.

A few weeks ago, PPP polled Milwaukee County voters. Keep in mind that Wisconsin went very narrowly for Trump in November (after their primary choices-- Bernie for normal people and Cruz for Republicans-- were eliminated. Bernie beat Hillary in the Wisconsin primary 567,936 (56.6%) to 432,767 (43.1%) and Cruz beat Trump 531,129 (48.2%) to 386,370 (35.1%). In November Trump won Wisconsin's 10 electoral votes 1,409,467 (47.9%) to 1,382,210 (46.9%)-- on percentage point.
