In the words of ABC News’ anchor David Muir, President Trump’s press secretary, Sean Spicer, set off a searing “firestorm” with rather awkward comments during a press conference comparing Syria’s leader Bashar al Assad to Adolph Hitler.
White House spokesman Sean Spicer triggered an uproar on social media on Tuesday by saying Adolf Hitler did not use chemical weapons, which critics said overlooked the fact that millions of Jews were killed in Nazi gas chambers.
Spicer made the comments at a daily news briefing, during a discussion about the April 4 chemical weapons attack in Syria that killed 87 people. Washington has blamed the attack on the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
“US set the whole Middle East on fire…but someone else is a d**k.” Jimmy Dore calls it straight on this one.
Sean Spicer claims Hitler did not use chemical weapons (gas chambers??).
The Trump attack on Assad is making the entire White House look more stupid with each passing day.
Jimmy Dore takes Spicer to task for his ridiculous comments, and the White House’s dangerous run up to war with Syria and Russia.

Yesterday, when discussing what the precursor for future US air strike on Syria could be, we said “expect to hear much more about white phosphorus in the coming days: it will be the “catalyst” for the next round of Syrian airstrikes.” In retrospect, we may have been aiming too high.
White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer was trying his best to define the seemingly incoherent US policy in Syria and in doing so may have accidentally admitted what US aims actually are.
Sean Spicer tells reporters that America’s goal is to ‘destabalise Syria’. After a moment’s pause he corrected himself to say ‘destabilise the conflict’…..not much of a correction.
White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer has told reporters that future strikes against Syria are possible. This is the same Sean Spicer who less than a week ago said that the idea of regime change in Syria was ‘silly’.
Today however he channelled the emotionally wrought US President and said,
A couple days ago, Spicy Spice babbled gratuitously that "Just because a left-wing blog makes the point of something changing, doesn’t mean it actually happened." It was referring to some ethical questions about the Trumpanzee family-- ethical questions Trump's attorney, Alan Garten, has already admitted were being dealt with-- having been reported by ProPublica.
Hours after an apparently self-evident false flag chemical attack in Idlib, Sean Spicer affirmed that it is no longer US policy to remove President Bashar al-Assad from power.
Spicer said,
“There is not a fundamental option of regime change as there has been in the past”.
