The Russians were blamed for this cyber attack by British mainstream’s The Independent, but that article including all its related social media got pulled down quickly. Fake news covered up very quickly.
What’s very interesting is that the highest amount of victims of this cyber attack were based in Russia. Worth thinking about.

A lot of people saw this coming. In the aftermath of the Westminster attack and then Amber Rudd‘s comments about WhatsApp, it was only a matter of time before another encroachment on encryption and privacy would occur.

Straight off the bat, this appears to be strategic ‘window dressing’ by Twitter. With fluctuating shares and an ever increasing trend of disgruntled users switching to alternative platforms such as Gab to avoid ‘shadow bans’ and preserve free speech, Twitter now adopts this perception management of ‘standing up to government and state intelligence’ to reassure users.

Over the past month, Wikileaks reportedly gathered much of the CIA’s cyber hacking capabilities in their Wikileaks ‘Vault 7’ publication under the moniker Year Zero. Now the transparency seeking website, has published “676 source code files  for the CIA’s secret anti-forensic Marble Framework,” in part 3 of its series.
