One of the tragedies around Pelosi's decision to appoint and reappoint corrupt Blue Dog Steve Israel to head the DCCC for the last 2 cycles is that he has taken all Republican leaders and all Republican committee chairs off the table. None, not even ones in vulnerable seats, have been or will be opposed by the DCCC.
This morning one of the Beltway trade papers ran a piece about how weak GOP backbencher Rodney Davis, is kicking the ass of Steve Israel's pathetic mystery meat candidate, Ann Callis, in Illinois' most swing district, IL-13.
So far this cycle the NRA's PAC, the Political Victory Fund, has contributed $399,350 to Republicans running for House seats and $18,950 to Democrats. The Democrats are all from the Republican wing of the Democratic Party:

This anti-Frank Guinta ad (above) that the DCCC is running in the Manchester, Portsmouth and Rochester media markets of eastern New Hampshire is meant to show voters that Guinta is "outside New Hampshire’s mainstream." Fortunately Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter runs her own campaign and ignores the DCCC sand their messaging. This is a third-rate self-referencing ad that might work among Beltway partisans but says little to regular New Hampshire voters.
Blue Dog scum spend their time in Congress voting with the Republicans. They are the foundation, along with the Wall Street-owned New Dems, of the Republican wing of the Democratic Party. And sooner or later, the Blue Dogs tend to jump the fence and officially become Republicans-- though not before the DCCC wastes millions and millions of dollars trying to prop them up.
Far right extremist and anti-health care fanatic Bill Cassidy (R-LA) is running for Mary Landrieu's Senate seat. Yesterday his bill to allow substandard health insurance policies to be sold on the open market-- even if they are just scams that cheat consumers-- passed the Republican-controlled House 247-167.
Often Democratic acquaintances of mine makes excuses for Blue Dogs and New Dems-- the Republican wing of the Democratic Party-- and their horrible voting records vy saying, "but look how red is district is." And sure enough, the 8 most prohibitively Republican districts held by Democrats are all held by Blue Dogs and New Dems with horrible anti-progressive voting records:
