NRA terrorist/House Speaker with suspicious beardPaul Ryan, the darling of the gun manufacturers' lobbyists-- and the biggest recipient in the House of their blood money-- adamantly refuses to allow a vote on prohibiting terrorism suspects to buy guns.

The video above is a pretty strong statement from P.G. Sittenfeld's Ohio Senate campaign. He's running in a primary against the NRA's most prized Democrat, Ted Strickland, so that he can take on the incumbent Republican, Rob Portman, who's almost been as slavish an NRA shill as Strickland has been. This week, the Senate Democrats voted as a block to end gun sales to terrorism suspects.

Ryan's beard is different from Lindsey Graham's beard or Patrick McHenry's beardThe New Republic has commented on the fact Ryan hasn't shaved in a few days and has a scruffy look. They didn't mention that he has blood on his hands for facilitating the NRA's murderous agenda but wondered if "Ryan’s beard is a result of his relentless, sleep-in-the-office work ethic, or if it’s just an effort to reach out to younger voters with a newer, hipper image.

Alas, not enough restrictions to make it worth voting forYesterday, the House voted overwhelmingly to give NSA the right to unconstitutionally spy on American citizens. The Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2016 (H.R. 4127) passed 364-58, majorities in both parties voting to sell us down the river. Only 36 Democrats and 22 Republicans stood firm for the American people toward.

As we've been writing all weekend, the Republican candidates-- on all levels, presidential, congressional-- are running their campaigns by inciting their supporters, some of whom are, by definition, not very stable, to violence.

It wasn't Fox, but CNN thant invited Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) to come on the air and denounce Planned Parenthood while Robert Dear was still inside a Colorado Planned Parenthood facility-- that has been targeted by right-wing extremists many times-- shooting people. Maybe Kinzinger, who had been rumored earlier this year to be having an affair with disgraced GOP ex-congressman and best-bud Aaron Schock, should learn to shut his pretty face.

Little Chucky Schucky hasn't even taken over as Senate Democratic Leader yet, but he's already calling the shots. And one of his first shots was to decree that Ohio's Democratic nominee against Republican incumbent Rob Portman shall be Ted Strickland, the other half of the conservative Bobbsey Twins. Strickland is a wretched conservative trying to pass himself off as a progressive for the sake of the primary. But anyone who has watched him amass his putrid record in the House and as Governor, know that Strickland is a Democrat of a couple of generations back, not a progressive.

Gun manufacturers' lobbyists and the craven Republican politicians they own revel in telling their dopey, brain-washed supporters that Bill Clinton or Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton-- or any Democrat short of Ted Strickland or John Barrow-- is going to come to their house and take away their guns.

If Ohio gun nuts are breathing easy it's because they probably figure that either incumbent Republican Rob Portman will win the 2016 Senate race or he'll be defeated by conservative Democrat Ted Strickland. Both are devout NRA-shills, Portman with an NRA rating of A and Strickland, believe it or not, with an even better NRA rating of A-plus!
